Fishing and Hunting
I finally went spearfishing today and man was I rewarded for it. Conditions were beautiful and my reef was teaming. I saw two lobster hanging in a cave and within short time I nailed my lunch.
As me and my buds were heading out I decided to do some fossil hunting in the marine terrace at the beach cliffs. There in the dirt lay a perfectly intact skull complete with teeth from some poor lil critter. I'm thinking it is a baby raccoon.

My epic collection
Organisms displayed on Triassic moenkopi ripple formation siltstone. Some older, some younger. The triassic period lasted between the "Great dying" Permian-Triassic extinction event roughly 251.4 million years ago to the Triassic_Jurassic extinction event 199.6mya (wikipedia).
The moenkopi formation is aged at about 240my.
Fossilized snail shell next to the broken calm shell was found at carpenteria beach and is of unknown age.

On the beach
Me n gib snuck down to the beach. Shot some seals...with a camera!

What be dis?
The gun was unloaded, the berrel pointing down into the rocks and saftey engaged
It would take a cruel individual to shoot a seal with a pellet rifle.
Smaller pray on the otherhand...not so much.
